Homeschooling Notes: Prewriting and Writing

I've been hard on my little one with her writing. I got really frustrated that she can copy a short note (the one she made for her dad for Valentines)

but can't write number "2" properly.
writing number "2"
There were a lot of bargaining, negotiations, whining, tears, whining, tears, whining and tears just trying  to finish the task on the photo.

So we spent the past few weeks forgetting writing "2"  and spent them just doing tasks the little one likes. Like painting,
drawing on smartphone app,
her Rainbow Cow

lacing,
beading,

and other activities (clay, puzzles, etc.) trying to develop more her fine motor skills that, hopefully, will translate to writing better, specially number "2".
